Career Astrology: Your weapon for success

A good career is the most important part of life today, as no one can survive without a good career in today's world. Having a good, successful, high-profile career is becoming increasingly vital now, more than ever before. But it is also becoming equally difficult to choose the right career. This is where Career Astrology comes into picture. A learned astrologer can draw a career horoscope on the basis of the native's birth data, and analyse what career will suit him the best.

Career astrology predicts the professional life of the native and answers the following questions about his career:

1 What is the suitable profession- job or business?
2 Which industry will be suitable for job/business?
3 What sort of a role will suit the native in a job?
4.When will the native get a good job?
5 How will his relations with his bosses be?
6.Will the authorities support the native?
7 When is he likely to get a promotion?
8 Is the current time suitable for a job change?
9 How is the current period for career?
10 What is the remedy or gemstone, if required?

It is the 10th House in which we can find our primary career goals. Hence, the 10th House is also described as outlining one's fame, reputation, honour and highest achievements. It is also described as the boss -- either your attitude towards the authority of others, or you as the authority. When you think of the 10th House, think of institutional traditions that have withstood the test of time. Government and political aims naturally fall into the domain of the 10th House.

According to Vedic Astrology, Sun is the Raja (King) of the stars. Name, fame, power or authority, management, municipal corporations, civil engineering, medicine, chemicals, architectural work, and work related to metals are a few professions related to this planet.

Moon on the other hand is the Raani (Queen) of the stars. Moon is the ruler of the mind, and gives reasoning power to the native. Administration, politics, agriculture, travel, telecom, trade in items of water, dairy farms, water works, textiles, naval work, psychiatry, medicine are a few professions related to the Moon.

Army, police, information technology, mechanical, electrical and industrial engineering, trades in metals, geological institutions, railways, labour forces, surgery departments, trades in weapons, cooking are few professions related to Mars.

According to Vedic Astrology, Mercury is the Yuvraj (Prince) of the stars. Mercury is the ruler of intelligence, analytical decision and approach, banking, finance, business process outsourcing (BPO), stock market, education department, literature, book-keeping, writing, audit or accounts, oratory, ambassadorial work, astrology, engineering, crafts, etc. are a few professions related to Mercury.

Jupiter on the other hand is the Guru (Teacher or Minister) of the stars. Jupiter is the ruler of education and marriage. Education, teaching, treasury, banking, publication, content writing, law and justice, postal department, courts, temples, revenue department, advisory councils, advertisements, etc. are few professions related to Jupiter.

According to Vedic Astrology, Venus is the star of wealth. Venus is the ruler of luxury, art and love. Manufacturing or trading of cosmetics or other ornamental items, music or cultural organisers, customs, imports or exports, gems, trade in gold, foreign representatives, drama, cinema, etc. are few professions related to Venus.

Saturn is the Lord of justice. It signifies studies related to tradition, philosophy and spiritualism. It rules over all types of fuel and their extraction, excretory system and all works related to drainage, plumbing, etc. It is a signifier of labour, artisan, works, factory, refrigeration, low cadre work or services, physical and hard work of all kinds, glass or tile factories, metaphysics, philosophy, gardening, lead astronomy, agriculture, footwear, etc.

Rahu indicates research studies, big machines, their manufacturers or trade, leather goods nuclear set-ups, knowledge of import, and poisonous drugs. It has a special tang for foreign products.

Ketu indicates computers, exports, mathematics, statistics, high accuracy small machines, spiritualism, terrorism and trading of animals or their body parts.

RATH YATRA - A journey towards salvation

The 'Chariot festival' or Ratha Yatra literally means journey by chariot. This festival is observed across India with pomp and gaiety. Lord Vishnu's incarnations such as Lord Krishna or Jagannath or even Lord Ram's idol is placed on a chariot drawn by the 'dastus'. It is brought to different destinations like Goddess Lakshmi's temple, Radhika's temple or Sita Devi's. Eventually, it goes to Puri to Gundicha temple where the wooden idol of Lord Jagannath, Balaram and Subhadra are made. This Ratha Yatra starts on the second lunar day of bright fortnight in the month of Aashaadh (Sukla daitiya) and continues for eight days. Among all the chariot festivals, on this occasion the foremost festival is observed in Puri, one of the four greatest places of pilgrimage in India. Here three chariots, one each of Lord Jagannath, Lord Balaram and of their beloved sister Subhadra Devi are brought on the streets of Puri and drawn by thousands of devotees who converge on the occasion form all over the globe. The most important characteristics of this festival of Puri is that people of all castes, right from Brahmin to Chandal have the right to draw the chariot. This chariot proceeds slowly in the morning after the performing the Puja and other rituals. The king of Puri, Gajapati, sweeps the street with a golden broom. The chariots are covered with different colored clothes. They have different names - Lord Jagannath's hariot is named 'Nandighosh', Lord Balaram's 'Taladhwaj' and Subhadra Devi's chariot is called 'Darpadalana'. The Nandighosh's colour is red and yellow; the Taladhwaj's colour is red and green while the Darpadalana's colour is red and blue. Though Devi Subhadra is worshipped in Puri, but in Hindu mythology, she is not called a goddess. Only in Mahabharata we find that she is the beloved sister of his two loving elder brothers.Another interesting feature of the idols of Puri is that unlike the idols of Gods and Goddesses of all the temples of India, they have more resemblance with tribal totems.  The main temple of Puri was built in the 12th century during the reign of the king Anantavarman Chodganga. After that, another 120 temples were built later. Before the journey begins, the chariots are placed in proper array - first Lord Balaram's chariot, which is 44 feet high, then Devi Subhadra's chariot, which is 43 feet high and at last Lord Jagannath's, which has a height of 45 feet. Throughout the day the chariots proceed slowly towards Gundicha temple and reach there in the evening. The three deities rest there for eight days and on the ninth day, their return starts in the morning, after performing Puja and other rituals. On the day before the chariots are placed in right array by turning their faces towards the streets. This return journey is called in Oriya as 'Bahuda Jatra, which starts in the morning and terminates before the Jagannath temple. The deities are kept on the chariots and are worshipped till Ekadashi or eleventh lunar day, after which they are again placed in the temple in their respective places.Another feature of Puri's Jagannath temple is that the world's largest kitchen is made outside the temple, where about 25,000 devotees take the Mahaprasad, or cooked food offered to God, daily and during the festival the number surpasses one lakh. 14,000 men work for proper manning the kitchen and other arrangements. And around 6,000 priests are engaged for worshipping etc. year after year without interruption. This is the national festival of Orissa spanning for 10 days in which lakhs of devotees congregate from every corner of the globe. Another most interesting feature of Puri's kitchen is that the Brahmins share food in the same 'thali' with people of any caste. The pundits on sociology say that it is the remnant of Buddhism, which negates any caste division and as the temple of Puri was once a Buddhist shrine. This feature is found nowhere in India and the priests say that in Sreekshetra, i.e. Puri, there is no caste bar and all his offspring are equal in the eye of Lord Jagannath. Each year the three chariots are built with wood and there is not a single piece of iron used in it. The wood is collected on Vasant Panchami day and the work starts on Akshay Tritiya and the work of the three chariots is completed a few days before the Ratha Yatra. The Jagannath temple is a piece of art and sculpture. The temple is 214 feet high and resembles the Shiva temple or Lingaraj temple of Bhubaneswar. It is believed that previously the outer side of the temple was full of humorous figurines. But in the later period these were covered with line and sand and different design was built. The Pundits say that it is was done to obliterate the Buddhist remnants after the waning of Buddhism in India. It is pertinent to note here that unlike the chariots, the building of idols of three deities does not take place every year but once in 8 to 19 years in the month of Aashaadh with extra days in the calendar. That year, the bodies of three idols are built and this occasion is called 'Navakalevar' meaning new body. And a festival is observed on this occasion and the old idols are buried at Koyli Baikuntha a place inside the temple boundary. This year, the Ratha Yatra begins on 13th of July and concludes on 22nd July 2010. This period is one of the most auspicious periods to begin all auspicious functions and perform all auspicious rituals.

A young, romantic comedy with a fresh pairing of Imran Khan and Sonam Kapoor who epitomise today's youth, the film is about a teenage guy who hates the mushiness associated with young romance, and how he eventually falls into the magical trap of love. The team of 'I Hate Luv Storys' is leaving no stones unturned to promote the film, and ever since the promotion of the film began, there has been excellent feedback on the youthful energy and on-screen chemistry Imran and Sonam exhibit.

Will the fresh pairing of Imran Khan and Sonam Kapoor in the small-budget film 'I Hate Luv Storys' lure the audience to cinema houses? Ganesha finds out.

Release time chart

Astrological Observations

  • Mars is in the Ascendant
  • Mercury is in it's own sign in the 11th House of gains, but Ascendant Lord Sun and 2nd plus 11th House Lord Mercury are afflicted by Ketu.
  • Moon is placed in the seventh House in water bearer's sign.
  • Jupiter aspects the second House by Saturn is posited in the second House.
  • 10th Lord is in the 12th House

Astrological Predictions

  • Ganesha feels that the film may have an above start at the box office, but with the help of mouth publicity it may do good business till the first weekend. Despite this, it may not churn a lot because 2nd House and 11th House Lord Mercury is afflicted.
  • In such case, if the film is released with more prints across India and abroad, the first week business may help producers gather a good sum, but this movie may not have any 'Midas touch' to keep the audience interested for a long time.
  • Some of the dialogues may be good.
  • Mercury is in it's own sign, so this may attract youngsters. However, it may not appeal all age groups.
  • This film may end up doing average business in India, but in foreign land it might do well, predicts Ganesha.

Good luck and may Lord Ganesha bless the cast and crew of 'I Hate LUV Storys'.

Astrology and the awakening of Kundalini

GaneshaSpeaks.com
It is important for us to know the relation between the Planets and various Chakras.

1. Kundalini - Rahu.
2. Muladhar Chakra - Venus.
3. Swadhisthan Chakra - Mars.
4. Manipur Chakra - Sun.
5. Anahat (Heart) Chakra - Jupiter.
6. Vishuddha (Throat) Chakra - Mercury.
7. Agnya (Third Eye) Chakra - Moon.
8. Sahastradhar Chakra - Saturn.
9. Ojas (Samadhi) - Ketu.

Planetary conditions in Horoscope responsible for Kundalini Awakening: -

1. Square, Trine, Parivartan, Conjunction or  Opposition between Jupiter & Sun, Moon or Rahu.
2. Square, Trine, Parivartan, Conjunction, Opposition or Aspect of Venus with Jupiter or Saturn.
3. Jupiter in 8th House, or related with 8th House or more planets in 8th House.
4. Square, Trine, Parivartan, Conjunction, Opposition or Aspect of Venus with the Lord of 10th House.

In a Horoscope, if the number of conditions applicable is either one or more, then Kundalini Awakening becomes easier. If Rahu falls in a fiery or airy sign in the Horoscope, it is believed that the person progresses quickly towards the Divine power. One is likely to get some Siddhi too. For getting Diksha from a Satpurush (Saint), it is important to have a favorable Moon & Saturn in transit. Also Jupiter & Venus should not be in conjunction with Sun at the time of Diksha. This is how one can figure out how far he or she is astrologically capable of Addhyaatm (a divine life) & the extent of his or her success.

The importance of blood groups in match making

GaneshaSpeaks.com
Normally, Astrologers do the match-making by considering the horoscopes of the two individuals. However, there are times when it becomes necessary to go through the blood groups of the prospective candidates to compare the compatibility between them. To know the relations between various blood groups is an astrologers' prime responsibility. The chart below mentions the matching blood groups and the blood groups that do not match with each other.
Blood Groups that do not match

Sr. Boy Girl
1 A O & B
2 B O & A
3 AB O, A & B
4 Rh+ve Rh-ve

Matching Blood Groups

Sr. Boy Girl
1 A A & AB
2 B B & AB
3 O O, A, B & AB
4 AB AB
5 Rh+ve Rh+ve
6 Rh-ve Rh+ve & Rh-ve

If we follow the above chart of the matching and  not-matching blood groups, it will definitely help in finding a better match. There are times when horoscopes score a perfect ten on ten astrologically, but if the blood groups of the two people do not match, it creates trouble between them in future.

Will Britney regain balance with Jupiter Dasha?

From sharing passionate on-stage kisses with pop diva Madonna to bungling her marriage with Kev Fed, Britney Spears has been through one roller coaster of  life. Just like any celebrity, the pop star's affairs have been subjected to intense media scrutiny, one that brought the artist nearly to a psychological breaking point. While the last few years have seen the pop sensation recede into and emerge from a plethora of personal and public issues, Jupiter promises a much required change of tide. While a lot would depend on her personal efforts, new opportunities and projects provide important platform and assist the transit. For all practical reasons Britney better find no reason to say oops I did it again!

Ganesha, with the help of Vedic astrology, finds out what is in store for this pop diva.

Britney Spears
2 Dec 1981
1-20 am
Kentwood, Louisiana, USA

Astrological Observations
  • Britney will be under the influence of major and sub period of Jupiter till 18th June 2012.
  • Currently she is under the influence of Rahu Ketu half return (Rahu is transiting over Natal Ketu and Ketu is transiting over Natal Rahu).
  • In last week of August 2010, Saturn will transit over Ascendant's degree.
  • In October 2011 Saturn Return will take place.
  • Once Jupiter enters Aries, it will oppose Natal Jupiter.
  • From September 2010 to March 2011 Venus will transit over Natal Jupiter through the second house of finances.
Astrological Predictions

  • Britney is born with such a fate that she is constantly under the limelight, whether intentionally or not. Jupiter Dasha has begun for her and Jupiter is in the second house of finances. So although she would be gaining a lot of money while Jupiter Dasha operates, there may be some problems that she is likely to face.
  • Rahu Ketu half return are affecting both her career as well as domestic affairs. She may feel unrest while at home while her career may also remain unstable till May 2011.
  • Britney will experience great depression/frustration while Saturn transits over Ascendant's degree. Sickness/health issue could also be a bother. This negative period operates from last week of August to first week of September 2010.
  • September 2010 to March 2011 is the period during which she will earn lots of money and may also remain in the limelight. She will come across new opportunities or she may even launch new projects during this period.
  • Post May 2011, she may experience smoother sailing, feels Ganesha.
  • Her emotions will require lot of control during next one year, else she may face legal issues.

Ganesha wishes good luck to Britney Spears.

Do you have 'Raj Yoga' in your Kundali?

Chasing happiness is man's daily affair; everyone tries to get maximum happiness. But happiness is a relative term. How much happiness you are entitled to, depends on your fate. A person's joys and sorrows can be assessed by the positions of planets and Yogas in his/her Kundali. One such Yoga is the Raj Yoga, which is formed by the combination of auspicious planets in a Kundali. To know if a planet is auspicious or not, we go by their functional nature. But, the natural auspiciousness or otherwise of the planets concerned also plays a role in determining how you get the good things in life, (either lawfully or unlawfully, either by love or by force etc.). It is important to know the relationships between Navamsha and Dashamsha as it will show how long the good things would last. The final seal of approval is given in the natal chart by good Houses getting connected to good Houses in the Bhava chart.  For example, if the 2nd House gets connected to the 11th House, luck factor may not play a big role, but friends or strangers will go out of the way to help the native. Astrology says, that Moon in its various placements has a huge impact upon the Yoga. If the Trine or Kendra Houses have the aspect of Venus or Jupiter, then Raj Yoga gives its full results, and the native gets power and position, which can be compared with that of the king.

There are a number of combinations of Raj Yoga with various degrees of results. It is not correct to assume that just the existence of this Yoga in the Kundali will make the person like a king. There are many other positive and negative factors that can play a role in how lavish the person's lifestyle would be. Goddess Lakshmi is the epitome of triangle and Lord Vishnu is the epitome of the Kendra House. A combination of these two provides amazing fortune to its native. This Raj Yoga gives wealth, fame and prosperity. If a woman has Rajya Poojit Raj Yoga in her Kundali, her husband will be a respectable and affluent personality in the society.

If you are interested in knowing about the various Yogas present in your chart and their significance, you can use the 'Ask a question' service at ganeshaspeaks.com.

A new way of Match-Making

The Kundali matching or match-making in general is done through various ways. Some people even use numerology for appropriate match-making. In practice, astrologers tally an Ascendent relation between

Mars & Venus,
Sun & Moon and
Jupiter

Further, they refer Navmansha Kundli as well as the Dashas. They also study the Moon signs. These studies make it easier for the astrologers to find out who will be more dominant of the two and so they can guide their clients accordingly. As per my study, we have to find out whether a horoscope is positive or negative.

To find out the same, we have to work in the following way:

(1)Find out how many male planets are in male Rashi. Give them one point each.

Male planets are:- Sun, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus & Pluto.
Male Rashis are:- 1, 3, 5, 7, 9 &11.

(2)Find out how many female planets are in female Rashi. Give them one point each.

Female planets are:- Moon, Venus & Neptune
Female Rashis are:- 2, 4, 6, 8, 10 & 12.

(3)For Mercury:- If it is placed with a male planet, consider it as a male; if it is with a female planet, consider it as a female.

(4) For Rahu & Ketu:- Consider them as per the Rashi Lords.

If there is any male planet in female Rashi, give it a zero point. Same rule is applicable for a female planet when it is placed in male Rashi. Now, calculate the points and find out who scores more – male or female. If the points of both the candidates are the same, then refer the Ascendent i.e. it is a male or female Rashi. This will indicate whether the Horoscope is positive or negative. Thus, while match-making, we will get any of the four combinations, which are as under:

(1)Boy positive & Girl positive
(2)Boy positive & Girl negative
(3)Boy negative & Girl positive
(4)Boy negative & Girl negative

The positive will have an ego & hence will try to rule the spouse. The negative will have an understanding nature & hence try to compromise, whenever there are differences. Thus, though the Horoscope is matching very well, condition no.2 & 4 are much more acceptable. In, condition no.1, both will be fighting a lot due to their individual egos & may go for separation. In condition no.3, husband may not like his wife ruling him; however, he may try to compromise & adjust to some extent.

I personally feel, that this way of match making can help the prospective candidates.

Stars behind Amitabh Bachchan's starry career

Amitabh Bachchan, the Shehenshah of Bollywood, is not only a national icon, but a well-known international personality as well. Besides the filmdom, he has an unmatched fan following across the globe. He was born on 11th October, 1942 at 16.00 hrs. IST Allahabad, India Ascendant Aquarius at 21.41 degrees. We will go through the basics, in a nutshell. He is born with the intellectual zodiac sign Aquarius rising as the Ascendant, ruled by Saturn. The Ascendant or Saturn was placed in the 4th House of the Horoscope at the time of his birth. Jupiter is placed exalted in the 6th House. The Nodes - Ketu is placed in the Ascendant or the 1st House, while Rahu is placed in the 7th House. The Moon is placed in the 9th House. Sun, Mars, exalted Mercury, and debilitated Venus are placed in the 8th House. With four planets situated in the 8th House, which is considered an evil House in Astrological parlance, how did he manage to achieve an illustrious career in the film industry and reach the heights no one in the industry has reached?

The answer is provided by the study of the horoscope through the Krishna Murthy Paddhaty of India, which is astrology of the constellations and not just astrology of planets placed in the 12 Zodiac signs.

Jupiter is in its own constellation 'Punarvasu', which gives him the results of the 5th and the 11th House. These are the best Houses for fulfilment of desires and gains through the significations of the 5th House, which include drama and acting. He chose his career in the Mahadasha of Jupiter, around 1969.

He rose to stardom from 1973 onwards with the dawn of the Mercury period. Mercury represents the 7th, 2nd and the 10th House where the 7th House stands for contacts with the masses, the 2nd House for wealth creations and the 10th House for professional achievements, name and fame. Note that Mercury is placed in the Nakshatra 'Chitra' or the Star 'Spica', which is the luckiest star for one to have in his horoscope connected to a planet rising. Also note that the Sun too is placed in the same constellation in his birth chart.

In 1982, he suffered an injury while shooting for his film 'Coolie' and his injury became a reason for sorrow and worry for the entire nation. Note that he was running the period of the Moon, which represents the 6th and 8th House; they denote injury and ill health. The Moon is placed in the constellation Swati, owned by Rahu – The Southern Node of the Moon or the Dragons Tail, which causes Lunar Eclipse.

Till 1987, he suffered few adversities including financial, due to evil planetary influences. From 1989 onwards he once again entered into the influence of the planet Mercury, and regained his lost glory and prominence of being a super star. We have already discussed that Mercury is placed in the fortunate star of Spica.

In the last twenty years, we have seen him ruling the roost, and he is one of the most sought after actors on the silver screen. He has also bagged compliments as an impressive host on the game show 'Kaun Banega Crorepati'. Audiences of this show in India and abroad have watched him deal with the participants in the most dignified and interesting manner.

Presently, he is under the influence of the planet Rahu till November 2010, after which the period of Jupiter begins for him. Jupiter will once again take him to great heights.

From the above discussion, it is evident that four planets placed in the evil 8th House could not be a deterrent for him in achieving what he did, just because of the sole reason that Sun and Mercury were placed in the constellation 'Chitra', which gave him access to the glories he begot. Mercury is combusted as well as retrograde, but this did not prevent the combination from producing a 'Budhi Aditya Yoga' par excellence. He is well-known for his oratorical abilities in public as well as his style of dialogue delivery in the films.

We wish Amitabh Bachchan all the best for his future. We look forward to what more is in store for us from this once upon a time angry young man, now growing old gracefully!

Know how the 5th and the 7th House influence love affairs

In a Horoscope, the 5th House deals with emotions and the 7th House is concerned with marriages. If there is a relation between the 5th and the 7th House or the Lords of 5th and 7th House, the person is emotionally attached or bonded with someone. In this article, I will give few instances of the Yogas, which result in love affairs or emotional bonding between two individuals.

  • If the Lord of the 5th House and the Lord of the 7th House exchange their Houses, it may result in love affair.
  • If the Lord of the 5th and the 7th House are in mutual conjunction or are aspecting each other, it gives rise to a love relationship.
  • Saturn is a natural Karaka of illegitimate relations. If Saturn alone is sitting in the 5th House, it creates a relation between the 5th and the 7th House by its third aspect.
  • If Jupiter being the owner of the 5th House is aspecting the 7th House or being the owner of the 7th House aspecting the 5th House, that too creates a relation between the 5th House and the 7th House which may result in love affair.
  • In case the Lord of the 7th House is placed in the 7th House, a person has a charming and a magnetic personality that attracts many people.

Ashtakvarga system of Astrology - the accurate way to future

Predicting Through Ashtakvarga

Astrology is a noble science. It can guide you in taking accurate decisions on each front of your life. Astrology is based on scientific calculations of the different aspects of planetary constellations at a certain time. I have been a student of astrology since 1998 and have experimented in my own way the 'Ashtakvarga system' on various horoscopes with full faith in the accuracy of this system.

Samudaya or Sarvashtakvarga

A table consists of 12 Houses and 7 planets i.e. 84 squares prepared by putting dots and zeroes and adding them together, which is known as Sarvashtakvarga. The total benefics should be written in each House along with planets and zodiac signs. Planets which are placed in their own sign, mooltrikona sign or exalted sign are strong, but if they have less than 28 benefic dots, they give negative results. Similarly, if the planets are placed in 6th, 8th or 12th House and have more than 28 benefic dots, they give benefic results.

For each house, minimum number of benefic dots determined are given below:

House No. 1st 2nd 3rd 4th 5th 6th 7th 8th 9th10th11th 12th
Dots 25 22 29 24 25 34 19 24 29 36 54 16

If the benefic Dots in a House are less than than the number indicated in the chart above, the positive results achieved will be less in proportion. On the other hand, if the benefic Dots in a House are more than than the number indicated in the chart above, the positive results achieved will be more in proportion.

For Match Making: If the native (male/female) has more than 30 benefic dots in their Moon sign, the couple would lead a happy married life. In a case where the native (male/female) has 25 or less than 25 benefic dots, their marriage would be unhappy.

Career or 10th House: If the 10th house has 36 or more benefic dots and it does not have any malefic planet nor is it aspected by any malefic planet, the native will be self-made.

  • He is under the influence of Shani's Sade Sati (first phase).
  • In a horoscope, Venus rules the liver. Saturn is transiting over Natal Venus being the Lord of the Ascendant.
  • Ketu is placed in the Ascendant. Ketu Dasha and Rahu Bhukti will rule till 7th January, 2011.
  • After the month of May 2010, transiting Jupiter will aspect the 8th House and Natal Venus.

Astrological Predictions

  • Ganesha foresees tough time for Amitabh Bachchan as far as health is concerned. This will continue till 7th January, 2011 because of Ketu Dasha and Rahu Bhukti, specifically because Ketu is placed in the Ascendant and signifies 'self'.
  • Sade Sati's first phase is going to be tough for him, so health may deteriorate gradually; however as Jupiter is going to enter Pisces in May 2010, it may help him find a solution to his ailments.
  • Ganesha's foresight says that because of Shani's Sade Sati and adverse Dasha Bhukti's influence, now onwards he will have to be extra cautious about his health. Next five years will be crucial for him from health point of view.
  • Laghu Rudra for Rahu Ketu Shanti, along with the medical treatment will help him recover faster.

Good luck and may Lord Ganesha bless Amitabh Bachchan with speedy recovery.

The useful Lal Kitab by Sukhwinder Singh- Celebrity Astrologer @ Ganeshaspeaks.com

Lal Kitab is famous primarily because of its remedial measures. Pt. Roop Chand Joshi originally wrote the Lal Kitab in Urdu text in between 1939 and 1952. Details are given below:

1) Lal Kitab Ke Farman in 1939
2) Lal Kitab Ke Arman in 1940
3) Lal Kitab third part in 1941
4) Lal Kitab Ke Farman in 1942
5) Lal Kitab in 1952

Following lines will be found on the front page of every Lal Kitab edition:

"Beemari Ka bagair dwayee bhi illaz hai" (Diseases can be cured without medicines)
"Magar maut ka koyee illaz nahin" (But there is no cure for death)
"Duniyavi hissaab kitab hai" (these are worldly calculations)
"Koi dawaa e khudai nahin" (not a final verdict from the Almighty)

Reading or analysing a horoscope is incomplete until one recommends some remedies to minimize the ill effects of evil planets. In the ten years of my experience in Astrology, I have read thousands of horoscopes, recommended Lal Kitab remedies and have been successful in negating the bad influences to a very large extent. There are some astrologers who believe that individuals using remedial measures interfere with their Karma, but I strongly disagree with this school of thought. According to me, Lal Kitab remedies are simple and affordable, and people who cannot afford expensive Gem Stones can benefit from Lal Kitab remedies. A word of caution; just as self medication can be harmful, performing Lal Kitab remedies without the supervision of professional astrologer can be extremely risky. In upcoming articles, I will discuss the effects of different planets in different Houses and remedies to ward off their bad influences.

Know how the Saturn-Mars conjunction affects you

Mars aligns with Saturn roughly once in two years. However, occasionally, due to retrograde motion of one or both the planets, such alignments will occur just a few months apart. In Mundane astrology, this conjunction brings forth some form of widespread misery. The Mars-Saturn conjunction of 1968 took place just two weeks before the My Lai Massacre.

But for individual, Mars - Saturn conjunction denotes a conjunction of hot and cold. Mars gives the 'energy' to fulfill needs and Saturn is the 'control', which is necessary for eventual efficiency in our expression and growth. During the Mars - Saturn conjunction, the essential energies fight with necessary controls. This conjunction often results in a stalemate or indecision. Occasionally this can also make the person prone to accidents.

On the positive side, this conjunction is a time when you can use your energies constructively. Any tendency shown elsewhere in your chart to act on impulse is tempered with restraint now due to the effect of Saturn. This produces capacity for hard work, enduring strength and resourcefulness. On the negative side, this conjunction often produces a tendency of anger or hard feelings that you must control.

It cannot be said that all sufferings and ailments afflicting us have human solutions. There are many things, which are beyond the human understanding. These were the areas where divine intervention was sought by the ancient seers.

If you would like to make use of the conjunction (either in your chart or during the transit, whenever it occurs) you can keep the following in mind and even use it to your advantage:

  • Maximize force tempered with restraint and focus.
  • To take forward your love (remember Mars plays a very vital role)
  • If your Moon sign is Taurus or Libra, you will be doubly lucky because Saturn happens to be your yogakaraka. You can get a very good deal if you are planning to buy a property.
  • If your Moon sign is Aries or Scorpio, you should be more than happy as your birth Lord will be meeting 3rd and 4th Lord or 10th and 11th Lord, thereby improving your career prospects.
  • If your Moon sign is Cancer or Leo, Mars is your yogakaraka and it will be meeting your 7th Lord, thereby brightening your marriage prospects (if you are unmarried) or bringing forth domestic happiness.
  • If you are a Gemini ascendant, you may get a chance to go abroad during this period.
  • If your Moon sign is Virgo or you are a Virgo ascendant, you will have speculative luck in the period of the conjunction.
  • If your Moon sign is Sagittarius, the period of conjunction can again bring in luck on the career front and also increase the inflow of money.
  • Capricorn or Aquarius natives will purchase immovable properties during this conjunction.
  • The people with beautiful eyes viz. Pisces born natives will see money flow in during the conjunction.

The 27 'Nakshatras' in the Hindu System of Astrology

The 'Nakshatras' or constellations form the most important element of the Hindu Astrology and 'Muhurtha' streams of knowledge. Without these, our knowledge would be incomplete.

Nakshatra means 'something that never decays'. It has been referred to as 'constellation' or 'asterism' and also at times as 'lunar mansions' by astrologers from the west. Among these, the word 'asterism' comes closest to the meaning of 'Nakshatra'.

The Nakshatras represent a cluster of stars. For instance, the first Nakshatra in sequence known as 'Ashwini' is made up of three stars, which looks like a Horse. Hence the name 'Ashwini', which is derived from the Sanskrit word 'Ashwa', which means a Horse. The Horse thus becomes the symbol of this asterism. As the Horse represents physical power and stamina, those born in this Nakshatra are always active, tenacious, dynamic and full of energy.

How to co-relate the Nakshatras to the planets in an individual?s Horoscope

The sky is considered as a stage and the planets are said to be the players on the stage. The screen behind the players represents the backdrop of the sky, which keeps on changing with every new act in the play. The Nakshatras form the designs on this screen. The situation is similar to a singer singing on the stage while projections on the screen behind him can be changed with different colours or scenes, which the director of the program decides. When we talk of the Moon in an individual?s birth chart, the rising asterism nearest to the degrees of Moon at the time of one?s birth in the backdrop of the sky, will be considered as 'Janma Nakshatra', or the Asterism in which ones Moon is placed.

How they help us

The Nakshatras form a major 'anga' or a major element of the Hindu Panchanga. They are used while choosing a Muhurtha in Electional Astrology.
They guide us to the first letter of an infant?s name at the time of 'Naamkaran' or naming ceremony of an infant. The Nakshatras also guide us during matchmaking. They are help us find how each planet in the horoscope will function. This forms the study of another domain of astrology known as 'Nakshatra Paddhaty'.

Janma Nakshatra

The Moon placed in a particular Nakshatra decides the mental bearings of the Native they would be, and if they are not in required levels, then the remedial measures of the Moons Nakshatra Lord Owner have to be undertaken for pacifying and strengthening the Moon so as to decrease the malefic effects and bring an increase in the benefic one.

In Astrology, there are umpteen uses of the Nakshatras for gauging celestial influences on human lives. This can produce many hard paperback volumes if one decides to write a thesis on it.

108 Beads of the Japa Mala

Those who are aware of the Hindu rosary or the 'Japa Mala' for counting of Mantras must be aware that there are 108 beads in the mala, and it has a staunch reason behind it.
A circular pizza may be compared to the sky. Cutting a pizza into 27 equal parts would cover a span of 360 degrees correspondingly in the sky which we address as the zodiac. Each Nakshatra too would thus measure an arc of 13.20 degrees in the Zodiac.

The ancient Indian astrologers have always preferred precision in their studies. They have further subdivided this arc of 13.20 degrees into four parts of 3.20 degrees each known as 'Padas'. So we now have 27 x 4 = 108 Padas. This is the reason for 108 beads in the 'Japa Mala'. It is a belief that when a person recites one full mala of 108 mantras, he asks for forgiveness and also requests for blessings from each part of the zodiac which influence every small and big affair of human existence. In short, asking for grace from the Omnipresent, Omniscient and the Omnipotent Lord under whose domain the whole zodiac is contained. In same way, in the scriptures, the Nakshatras too are considered to be divine beings, worthy of being worshipped through the Lords of these Nakshatras who are the Navgrahas or the nine planets in Hindu Astrology.

In other words, we have 27 Nakshatras with four charans each. Multiply 27 x 4 and you get 108. So when you take 108 names of the Lord, you are practising remedial measures for every planet in your chart, because all the Lords of these charans are nothing but manifestations of the Supreme itself. 108 Padas mean all the degrees of the Zodiac covered. By taking 108 names of the Lord, you have paid obeisance to all the portions of this Universe.

The Zodiac in Astrology consists of the following:

1. The Zodiac of 360 degrees divided into 12 parts each of 30 degrees are named as the Zodiac signs in the order- Aries, Taurus, Gemini, Cancer, Leo, Virgo, Libra, Scorpio, Sagittarius, Capricorn, Aquarius and Pisces owned by the 7 + 2 = 9 planets, where the seven planets comprise of the Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter and Saturn while the other two are shadowy planets (Invisible) called as Rahu, Ketu or the Dragon's Head and the Dragon's Tail respectively in western astrology. They are the Northern and Southern nodes of the Moon.

2. Further, the divisions are followed by the 27 Nakshatras each measuring 13.20 degrees arc of the Zodiac. This is then followed by 108 Charans or Padas as explained above.

Below given are the names of the 27 Nakshatras and a list of their other attributes. Kindly note that the list is not exhaustive.

Note that the above list has to be applied with caution while delineating results and not clinging strictly to the literal dictionary meanings of the words mentioned above. For instance, a person who is born in a Nakshatra whose symbolic representation is a tiger, it has got certain denotations which only an expert astrologer would be able to guide on and one must not stick to the literal translated meaning of these. For example, in matchmaking the Yonis representation will guide the astrologer as to how well the partners are compatible. Same goes with the Gana 'Rakshasa'. For instance, in matchmaking again the astrologer would see whether the Ganas match or not between the partners and whether the prospective bride and bridegroom have each 'Rakshasa' and 'Dev Gana' then the matchmaker may deny the match because a God and a Demon cannot marry or live happily. Of course, this would be subject to other conditions too.

A deeper study of the Nakshatra system will allow us to draw additional inferences.

Lalit Modi is a victim of Rahu-Ketu transit

A lot has been written about the drama and excitement generated around IPL-III, both on and off the field. While the Sachins, Dhonis and Pollards were setting the stadium on fire with their exploits on the field, the likes of Lalit Modi, the beleaguered chairman and commissioner of IPL aka 'Mr. Fall Guy', Sharad Pawar, the president of BCCI aka 'Mr. Negotiator', the BCCI top brass aka 'the Invincibles', and our 'honourable' politicians were exchanging fire outside it.

But despite the conclusion of the third season of IPL with unprecedented celebrations and fireworks in Mumbai and later in Chennai, there is no dousing the controversy that surrounds the suspended Chairman of IPL. Looking at the current string of events and mood at the menacing corridors of BCCI, the future of the man, who has been credited for single-handedly writing the IPL success story, looks bleak.

However, Ganesha, armed with the wisdom of the Vedic Astrology System, has not entirely written Modi off just yet. He believes that the current problems faced by Modi are primarily due to the ongoing Rahu-Ketu transit. And his troubles are likely to become less intensive as soon as the effect of the two malefic planets wears out. Here is what Ganesha and the Vedic astrology system have to say about Lalit Modi's fate.

Lalit Modi
Date of birth: 29th November,1963
Place of birth: Delhi

Saturn, which is placed in its own sign, is in the 10th House from the natal Moon. The 10th House is the house of career. And this arrangement forms Sash Yoga.

Jupiter is also placed in its own sign. The strong presence of Jupiter and Saturn in his birth chart has made him one of the most effective sports administrators in the history of world cricket. But while the transits of Saturn and Jupiter has helped him prosper, there are other transits that have led to his current downfall.

At present, he is under heavy influence of Rahu-Ketu transit. This is a very difficult phase for him with Rahu conjunct with natal Venus and Ketu's presence in the 8th house from the Sun.

Since Venus is the planet of glory, love, values, urges, social image, creation, attraction, luck, personality and money, the malefic effect of Rahu on Venus has led to unwanted revelations that tarnished his public image. The transiting Ketu is passing through the 8th house from the Sun, the planet of power and authority. Due to this, Modi's position as the chairman and commissioner of IPL has been compromised and he was suspended.

Ganesha feels that he will continue to face enormous difficulties till August this year. And till July 27, his problems will look menacingly insurmountable. However, things will start looking a little less murky from August onwards and the malefic effects of Rahu-Ketu will significantly tone down by the end of August. The positive effects of Jupiter transit from September onwards is likely to bring about a remarkable improvement in his condition. But neither his fighting spirit nor Jupiter's favourable position will help fully reinstate what he has already lost and is about to lose.

With Ganesha's Grace,
